Brother's Best Friend is Back Page 2
In the very early stages of knowing him, when he first would come over to play with Jack, I would secretly watch them and wonder what it was like to get that close to him.
Hell, I’d even named my favorite Barbie and Ken dolls Chrissy and Adam, a total secret I kept from everyone else. Especially when Chrissy and Adam started playing doctor together.
I’d dreamed of a day when we’d be high school sweethearts or something, even though he was five years older. I’d fantasized about having his babies, even way back then. But then out of nowhere the rug was pulled out from under me and he disappeared into what seemed like thin air.
I’d cried myself to sleep, soaking my pillow in my tears the day I’d come home and found the For Sale sign out on the Gardners’ lawn.
Now here he was, back in my house, sitting beside me instead of Jack. We’d apparently come full circle.
“So I guess if you are going to be working with my dad, that means I will be seeing a lot of you then.” I winked at him, unable to control my flirty nature.
Adam’s eyes dipped to glance over my body. “Yeah, probably.”
“Burgers are ready!” my dad announced.
I looked at Adam. I felt a nervous energy next to him and I wasn’t sure if I had an appetite anymore. Apparently he was unaffected by it.
“You hungry?” he asked as he started to stand up.
“Um, maybe I’ll eat in a little bit.” I smiled up at him.
“Okay, well I’m going to go grab a bite,” he said. “Can I come and sit back down next to you?”
I wished he wouldn’t leave in the first place. “Sure. It would be nice to catch up some more.” I gave him a friendly smile.
When he walked away I thought about how magical it felt being next to him again. I felt the tug of chemistry and a connection to him just as I’d had a kid. I wondered if it were obvious. I hoped so— I wasn’t a mortified 12-year-old anymore. These days, I knew how to go after something I wanted.
Chapter 2 – Adam
I sat next to Chrissy on the hammock swing on the side of her house, away from the noise of the party.
I was trying to steer clear of Mr. Monroe— my new boss and the city’s top real estate executive. His reputation was as a drill sergeant kind of guy who didn’t want business to mix with pleasure.
The gentle breeze left my skin cool even though summer was amping up in a big kind of way. I was ready to embrace the new beginnings of being back in town, especially since I now knew that Chrissy was home for the summer.
I couldn’t believe it— we were both fucking back for the summer, and she was flirting with me. Score.
We were sitting side by side as we pushed the hammock with our feet.
“It’s nice out here,” Chrissy said dreamily and gazed out into the yard.
“I’m glad to be back,” I admitted.
She turned to face me. “You know, Adam, I’ve been wondering about this for a really long time, but why did you leave in the first place?”
She must have noticed something change in my facial expression because she pulled back, looking embarrassed. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to pry.”
“No, it’s okay.” I waved my hand dismissively. “A lot of things happened back then.”
I looked at the ground, not sure it was the time to raise the past but she looked wounded from my instant change in demeanor. I tossed her a friendly smile and her eyes warmed.
“Actually, it’s kind of a long story.” I chuckled.
“That’s okay, I’ve got time.” Chrissy winked at me and twirled her blonde hair around her fingers.
I swallowed hard, still unsure how to tread the waters on the subject.
“Hey.” Chrissy placed her hand on my thigh. “It’s okay, you can trust me.”
Her eyes looked genuine, even behind the sunglasses she was wearing. Fuck, she was hot these days. She really grew into herself by the looks of her perfect round tits and tight little ass. She looked damn good in a bikini, and it was distracting.
“I know.” I nodded, even though I really didn’t know. I mean, I hadn’t seen this girl in years. “I’m just a little off focus. Did I mention how cute you look in your bathing suit?” I grinned playfully at her.
“Oh, you are too kind,” she said and popped out her busty chest with a bite of her lip.
I looked around, self-conscious and nervous that her father would jump out of the trees and catch us. It felt stupid to be scared of him like this, but I had just landed the job of a lifetime right out of graduate school. I didn’t need to fuck that up anytime soon.
We weren’t doing anything naughty, I told myself─ but I wasn’t sure if Gary Monroe would agree.
During my interview, he’d vaguely commented on how if I were hired I’d need to keep my sole focus on the development projects and nothing more.
“I’ll have to give you the boot, son, if anything comes between you and the job.” He’d given me a knowing look, which at the time I didn’t understand but now that I’d seen his daughter I got it completely.
“What are you guys doing?” I turned around to see Jack wobbling and swaying through the yard in our direction.
I was saved by the bell, at least for now, from breaching the sensitive topic of my childhood. “Easy, man. You look like you’ve had a few too many.” I stood, ready to come to my old friend’s aid.
“How can you even stand up?” Chrissy said as she looked at her brother in disgust.
“He just had too much to drink,” I said, taking pity on Jack. “Take it easy on him.”
“I guess,” she shrugged. “I would probably get wasted too if I knew I had to go out to sea for six months.”
“Exactly.” I nodded as I reached out to grab a falling Jack.
“Wow, he actually looks pretty bad,” Chrissy admitted, and her expression faded from annoyance to concern.
“He’ll be all right.” I didn’t want to alarm her, but I’d never seen Jack quite this bad before. “You know how guys do, sometimes we drink a little too much when we’re excited.”
“He’s my big brother.” She shrugged. “I hate to see something happen to him right before he’s supposed to ship out to sea.” Her brow furrowed into deeper concern.
“I know you’re just looking out for him,” I said. “I’m sure he would appreciate it if he were sober.”
I grunted as I grabbed him by the shoulders, trying to swing him around and maneuver him.
“Why don’t we put him in the hammock for a second?” She looked at me and I pondered the suggestion.
“That’s not a bad idea.”
I dragged him over to the hammock where she helped me gently lay him down.
“Well, fuck.” I laughed and ran a hand through my hair.
“What is it?”
“Well, how the hell will we ever get him out of there?”
“I don’t know!”
Suddenly Jack sat up straight. “Hey, what are you guys doing here?” He slurred as he pointed to us, his eyes rolling back in his head.
Chrissy and I exchanged a glance. Jack fucking reeked of alcohol. I had stopped drinking a while ago because I had to drive home and also I didn’t want to make any bad choices or poor decisions in front of Chrissy’s father before I even started my first day on the job with him.
“Hey man, how does it sound if I take you home?” I looked down at Jack enthusiastically and wondered if he was even paying attention to either me or Chrissy.
“But the party is just getting started.” Jack tried to stand up, but failed miserably.
He got caught in the holes of the hammock and his body flipped over, leaving him twisted in knots around the hammock.
“Well shit!” I exclaimed.
“I think I’m stuck!” Jack giggled. He still had the playful nature I’d remembered from when we were kids.
“Easy, tiger, I can help you up,” I said and took him by the arm and pulled.
To my surprise, he came out easily.

bsp; “Hey, do you mind if I tag along to take him back to his apartment?” Chrissy’s eyes sparkled with mischief and she bit her lip. I looked at her blonde hair which was swaying gently in the soft breeze.
She was deliciously desirable and I wanted her. And in the back of my mind I knew that she was probably more attractive to me just because she was just out of my grasp. I knew I couldn’t risk anything happening with her because of her father.
But the idea that she was inaccessible made my cock throb and bulge in my pants. I tried to play it cool though.
“That actually might be a good idea. I don’t know if I can get him to the car by myself and he’s becoming dead weight.”
“I’d love to help,” Chrissy said and her eyes blazed with something I couldn’t decipher. “Maybe we should take him through the side yard so my dad won’t see.”
Now she was talking. “I concur with that suggestion one hundred percent,” I said. It was obvious that she didn’t want to piss off her no-nonsense father any more than I did.
After a lot of huffing, puffing, and sweating, we finally got Jack to the car.
“Well at least I’m getting my work-out for the day,” Chrissy chuckled.
“Ain’t that the truth?” I panted, and I was in great shape.
But looking at Chrissy’s toned and tanned body; it was obvious that she took care of herself too. She had great curves in all the right places. So different from the scrawny kid she’d been back when I knew her.
I helped her gently toss Jack into the back seat where he slumped and sagged for a moment before he fell over completely and spilled into the whole backseat.
I ran around to the driver’s side to crank up the AC. It felt like a million degrees out here in the direct sun, and the hot car that had been sitting out in the daylight for so long was the equivalent of hot molten lava in a volcano as far as I was concerned.
It had been nice sitting in the hammock under the tree. I had a new-found respect for the shade after this little episode.
“I think we’re locked and loaded,” I called out to Chrissy who jumped in the car beside me.
“I’m ready when you are. This sure is fun.”
Before we even pulled out of the neighborhood I could hear Jack snoring from the backseat. Chrissy looked over her shoulder so she obviously heard it too.
“Well, at least he’s still alive.” She shook her head.
“Yeah, let’s try to keep it that way,” I said. “I’m sure his commanding officer or whatever wouldn’t be too happy if he didn’t make it on the boat.”
“I think Jack’s under a lot of pressure.” Chrissy’s expression grew serious. “He wants to please my father but you know how hard that can be. And Daddy was not happy when Jack decided to go into the Navy instead of into the family business.”
She turned and looked out the window.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Chrissy turned back and looked at me with those big blue eyes. Fuck, she was adorable and gorgeous.
“You know, you never answered me about why you moved away.”
I sighed and stared straight ahead at the road.
“Oh, come on,” she said playfully, with only a twinge of aggression. “I just told you about how my dad puts pressure on us. You can talk to me about anything.”
“I guess you’re right.” I smiled back at her. “To tell you the truth, the reason we moved away was because my dad got really sick.”
“Oh my goodness,” she gasped, and placed a hand to her chest. “I’m so sorry, Adam! I had no idea. I wish you guys would have told us.”
“Well, my mom didn’t want any pity, or at least that’s what she told me.” I shrugged. “He died of pancreatic cancer a few months after we moved away.”
“That’s so terrible. I had no idea…” Chrissy trailed off.
“I know it was hard on my mom to go from living in a huge house in the suburbs to living in an apartment downtown.”
“I’m sure it was hard on you too.” She placed a warm hand gently on my thigh.
“It was, but my mom had it worse. I went to college to escape the pain.”
She held her hand in place and it was all I could do not to turn just a little and push myself into it.
I clenched my jaw and thought about how I couldn’t fuck up this job opportunity. I really needed the money so I could give my mom the lifestyle that she so desperately deserved and wanted to have back. She was great at playing the role of suburban house wife and the rug had unfairly been pulled out from under her. I knew she missed my dad like crazy too.
A few minutes later we arrived at Jack’s apartment complex. “Ready to scoop him out?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be.”
“You’re so cute,” I said.
She feigned shock. “Are you flirting with me, Mr. Gardner?” She batted her eyes outrageously. Damn, she was both cute and funny. Add those to the hot body, it was a killer combination.
“Maybe,” I said in a low voice. I opened the back door. “Okay, I’m going to pull him up and drag him out this way. Can you get a shoulder under his arm when I stand him up?”
“Roger that.” Chrissy nodded. I pulled Jack’s arms, and she helped me by pulling his legs forward. He slid out pretty smoothly for such a big guy, and we were able to get his arms draped over our shoulders.
We carefully moved him to his apartment, which was thankfully on the first floor. I got the keys out of his pants pocket and unlocked the door.
“I can’t believe he’s been passed out this whole time,” Chrissy marveled. We lowered him to his couch, and he snorted a little but didn’t really react.
“Yeah, he’s really out,” I agreed.
She threw a blanket over him. “Let’s lean him on his side in case he pukes,” she said, trying to move him.
“You know, you’re a really good sister to him,” I said. “Not everyone has that in their lives.”
“Thanks!” She beamed at the compliment.
We put a glass of water and some aspirin, a big bowl, and a plate with some sausage and crackers on the table next to him, then left him there, hoping that in a few hours he would wake up and shake off the hangover.
The ride back to Chrissy’s house was laced with sexual tension. I pulled up into the driveway and she hopped out, looking at me with teasing, taunting eyes.
I thought about asking her if I could come in for a night cap. But I knew I had to go home and get some shut eye. I was to start work at Monroe the next day.
Plus, I could tell she knew she had me wrapped around her little finger. I didn’t want to let on how much I was dying to fuck her. I planned to strike when it was hot and be the one to make the first move.
“Okay, well I’ll see you around then.” She tossed me a wink and closed the door.
She wanted me. It was obvious.
Good, because I wanted her too.
“Hey, Chrissy?” I shouted out the passenger window.
She turned back, her hair swinging over her shoulders. She was still just wearing the bikini top, and the combination of that silky blonde hair falling over those firm, high breasts, was almost too much for me. She looked at me expectantly.
“See you around soon.”
She raised her eyebrows at me as she said, “Yeah, maybe.”
What a fucking tease. She knew what turned me on. The chase. And I loved that she was making me go after her.
I stared at her ass the whole way until she disappeared into the house. I drove off with a tug in my heart and an erection in my pants.
I hoped I really would be seeing her again soon. I wasn’t sure how long I could wait.
****
When I got home, I couldn’t help but continue to let my thoughts about Chrissy wander. I unzipped my fly and pulled out my cock, which I wish she would come ride on right about now.
Stroking my hand up and down on it, I thought about how it would feel to slide it into her slick, tight little pussy. When I left, she had been a youn
g teenager and now she was still an older teenager. A woman, but barely.
I had to admit, the thought of fucking the little girl next door turned me on more than anything had in a long time. I jerked myself off while thinking of her down on her knees, taking my hard cock in my mouth. Right when I was about to cum, she would sit on my lap and let me fuck her while I squeezed her hot, curvy ass.
Just the thought of it was enough to make me cum. Even though I was in my room alone, I was a little embarrassed at how badly I wanted Chrissy. Girls didn’t usually have this much power over me. I would have to stay away from her just to make sure I could control myself.
I told myself I could just think about her. I didn’t have to be with her, or that would be letting myself go too much. Also, her dad would kill me, and I really needed this job with him.
I could just imagine— I didn’t have to actually try to do it. But I knew it would be easier said than done, and I wasn’t sure my cock was going to settle for just my hand when what it really wanted was that pussy of hers.
Chapter 3 – Chrissy
“So I didn’t see much of you at the party yesterday.”
Raina gave me a look I knew too well, that she suspected something. Raina was my best friend since childhood, and we currently shared an apartment close to our college campus. She was also home for the summer.
“Well…you know Adam Gardner is back in town?” I grinned.
“Adam Gardner?” Raina smirked at me. “As in the same Adam Gardner who used to live across the street from you and you’ve had a crush on since you were like five?”
I sighed and slathered some fresh sunscreen onto my legs, relishing the way it made them shimmer under the light of the sun. “Yep, that Adam Gardner.”
“So…what’s the gossip then?” Raina asked with an edge of impatience.
“There is no gossip,” I said defiantly.
“Oh, come on.” She threw a plastic beach ball at me that had drifted next to her on her pink flamingo float. I was lying on an alligator one.
“What?” I grinned.
“I saw the way you looked at him yesterday.” She raised an eyebrow.
